Man shot dead in front of Orange County home, police say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Deputies arrested one man on Tuesday and continue to search for another in the fatal shooting in front of an Orange County home.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said Edwin Roman, 36, a father of three, was found shot Sunday evening in front of a home at 5166 Gwynne Avenue.

Roman was taken to Florida Hospital South, where he was pronounced dead.

Jarvis La-Mark Akins, 29, was arrested in connection to the case. The second suspect sought is described by deputies as a black male with short hair, chunky build, weighing 180-200 pounds with medium to dark complexion and a full beard.

Deputies said the man was believed to have been with Akins when the homicide occurred and fled the scene in 2010-2013 dark green Toyota with tinted windows and gold lettering on rear of vehicle.

The vehicle has not been located.

Friends of Roman said he was robbed before the shooting occurred.
