Juvenile injured in RV fire in Edgewater, officials say

1 dog killed in RV fire

EDGEWATER, Fla. – A juvenile was taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital after a large RV caught fire Sunday after 4 p.m.

When crews arrived at the scene at 1032 Flying M Court, the RV was completely engulfed in flames.

Officials said the juvenile suffered non-life-threatening injuries while attempting to remove the pets from the RV.

One other person that was at the RV with the juvenile was not injured. One dog was rescued, another died in the fire.

Officials said firefighters had the fire completely extinguished by 5 p.m.

As crews were leaving the scene of the RV fire they got called to a structure fire at 301 Mango Tree Dr.

Firefighters arrived to find a pallet of material on fire at the business, Pro Edge.

Officials said the pallet, which was where the fire was contained, was removed with a forklift.

Only minor damage was reported to the building. No injuries were reported.

Both fires are being investigated.
