Meeting held over possible school rezoning in Orange County
Orange County Public Schools to unveil proposed maps, get input from parents
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Orange County Public Schools is holding a meeting Monday night to discuss rezoning as new schools are set to open.
OCPS is opening new kindergarten through eighth grade schools in Parramore, Lake Como and Audubon Park, but is closing three smaller elementary schools.
As many as 2,800 students could potentially have to transfer to new schools.
The district is unveiling the proposed maps and getting input during a meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the school board headquarters in downtown Orlando.
