Moore Justice Center reopens after evacuation
Fire investigators are allowing Moore Justice Center staffers and court participants to return to the building after locating what they believe is the source of smoke that forced an earlier evacuation.
News 6 partner Florida Today reports the light haze of smoke spotted on the fourth floor of the Viera courthouse forced an hour-long evacuation and a shutdown of court services this morning.
Brevard County Fire Rescue crews responded to the 9:30 a.m. fire alarm with several engines and quickly pinpointed the smoke to the fourth floor of the building, authorities reported. Fire fighters believe the smoke may have been electrical in nature.
