Palm Coast Pizza Hut employees forced into cooler at gunpoint

PALM COAST, Fla. – Deputies said three men robbed a Palm Coast Pizza Hut over the weekend, forcing employees into the restaurant cooler, the sixth recent similar robbery in Central Florida.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office said they received a panic alarm from the Pizza Hut located at 1475 Palm Coast Parkway around 10:52 p.m. Saturday.

When officers arrived, they were informed by employees that they had been robbed by three masked gunmen, deputies said.

The robbers demanded money from the employees and forced them into a walk-in cooler in the kitchen. deputies said. 

They fled the area with an unknown amount of cash, according to deputies.

No one was injured.

The incident marks at least the sixth robbery over the last several weeks in which employees or customers were forced into a cooler or freezer.  The robberies have stretched from Orlando to Flagler County.
