ORLANDO, Fla. – An American Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing Wednesday morning in Orlando.

American Airlines flight 954, headed from Buenos Aires to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, landed at Orlando International Airport after an Alert 2 was issued.

The Boeing 777, which was carrying 214 people, landed at 6:37 a.m. without incident.

The plane reportedly diverted to Orlando because fumes were detected in the cockpit after a possible problem with the plane's nose gear.

No one was injured.
