Braves to move spring training from Disney?

Proposal may move training from Disney to St. Pete

News 6 has learned another Major League baseball team may soon pack up and leave their spring training home in Central Florida.

The Atlanta Braves have played at Disney since 1997, but plans have surfaced for a new $662 million complex for the team at the site of a former landfill in Pinellas County.

That is raising a lot of big questions about what it could mean for the future of the Rays in St. Pete.

The Rays and the developer behind the facility have not released any information.

News 6 contacted Disney, but the company isn't commenting about the plans.
