More arrests made in deadly shooting at Ocala nightclub

19-year-old woman killed after gunfire in parking lot

OCALA, Fla. – Marion County deputies have made more arrests in the Ocala nightclub shooting that killed a 19-year-old woman.

Deputies said the shooter opened fire after an altercation at Cloud 9 Club on South Pine Avenue.

Laquan Ria'Mel Barrow, 24, was charged last month with attempted second-degree murder and second-degree murder in the death of Benetria Robinson outside of the club.

On Monday, deputies announced the arrests of Gary King and Michael Smith in the shooting. They face second-degree homicide and attempted second degree homicide charges in the shooting.

According to an affidavit, Barrow fired multiple rounds at patrons who were trying to leave the nightclub after a fight began inside the club. Deputies said there were 9mm casings recovered where Barrow was standing outside in the southeast parking lot.

Six people were shot in the parking lot of the club, according to deputies. Robinson died at the scene and the other five victims were taken to local hospitals.
