Rusty Johnson to square off against Jim Stills in December

OCOEE, Fla. – The race to decide the next mayor of Ocoee will head to a runoff election.

Rusty Johnson received the most votes in Tuesday's special election, but he didn't win a majority.

Johnson will take on his closest competitor, Jim Stills, next month.

Johnson came 54 votes shy of securing the majority.

Current Ocoee Mayor Scott Vandergift is retiring.
