Deputies serving federal warrant to man sent on foot chase in Belleview
Rejerio Jaquan Brewster, 24, taken to Marion County Jail
MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A man ran from Marion County Sheriff's Office deputies Wednesday as they were attempting to serve a federal warrant for his arrest, related to arson.
Deputies were at 10519 S. Highway 441 in Belleview attempting to take Rejerio Jaquan Brewster, 24, into custody when he darted into traffic.
Deputies said they had to deploy a Taser to stop Brewster and he fell into the side of an unmarked car. He was detained and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
A short time later, Brewster was released from the hospital and taken to the Marion County Jail.
"I am proud of the many hardworking and dedicated employees at the Marion County Sheriff's Office who continue keeping the people of Marion County safe," Sheriff Chris Blair said.
