ORLANDO, Fla. – Most of the country woke up Sunday morning to chilly temperatures. Central Florida will jump on that bandwagon by Monday morning thanks to the passage of a strong cold front. Ahead of the front, expect numerous showers and a few thunderstorms Sunday afternoon.
Clouds and rain coverage should keep temperatures rather cool, in the mid to low 70s. By sunset Sunday, most of the rain should taper off and slide south of the area.
Behind this front, we will see clearing skies with winds increasing from the north. This overnight setup will allow for a quick drop in temperatures. Forecast lows for Sunday night and into Monday morning will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.
The nice cool weather will continue until the middle of the week, with highs remaining near to below average in the upper 60s to low 70s. High pressure will remain our dominant weather feature through the week, keeping rain and cloud coverage minimal.
The extended forecast looks good for Thanksgiving. Highs will near 80 degrees and lows in the mid 60s.
