News 6 hosts healthcare coverage phone bank

ORLANDO, Fla. – News 6 hosted a phone bank with the Central Florida Enrollment Coalition to bring healthcare coverage to residents.

The phone bank, which runs from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.will help Central Floridians sign up for healthcare by the Jan. 31 deadline and avoid federal tax penalties.

Residents can call into the News 6 hotline at 888-436-6665 to make appointments with a Navigator to register for health care coverage and visit www.SignUpCentralFL.com for more information.

The Central Florida Enrollment Coalition is a partnership of the Heart of Florida United Way, Florida Hospital, Orlando Health, Primary Care Access Network, Enroll America and SRA International.

More than 23 percent of people in Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties could be eligible for the Health Insurance Marketplace.
