SORRENTO, Fla – A van traveling westbound on Wolf Branch Road in Sorrento hits and kills a pedestrian standing in the roadway.
Florida Highway Patrol reports that a van driven by Melinda Wilmot, 37, of Sorrento was traveling westbound on Wolf Branch Road around 7 p.m. Friday.

Wilmot struck a pedestrian standing in the westbound lane of Wolf Branch Road with the front right side of her van, troopers said.
The pedestrian, Diana Buravski, 42, of Sorrento, was transported to Waterman Hospital where she died of her injuries.
No charges have been filed and the crash remain under investigation.
