SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the homicide of a 15-year-old boy Friday in East Altamonte.

Officials said Tamar Harris was riding in a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Central Street at 3:30 p.m., when an armed suspect standing in the roadway fired shots in his direction. The shooting caused Harris' car to crash into a light pole.

Police found Harris in the street next to the vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital and died of his injuries.
