Winter Park police investigate similar robberies

Suspect was wearing what was described as same clothing, police say


WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Winter Park Police Department is asking for the public's help as they investigate two similar robberies.

A male suspect walked into Current at 128 South Park Ave. at 2:42 p.m. Friday, police said.

The robbery suspect implied he had a weapon and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to police.

He is described by police as white, 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches tall. Police said he wore a dark green jacket over a gray hoodie with "ears" sewn onto the hood.

A similar incident involving a theft happened at a McDonald's restaurant at 2472 Aloma Ave. at 12:44 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The suspect was wearing what was described to be the same clothing in both incidents, according to Winter Park police.
