Ashley Guindon, 28, killed during domestic violence call

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. – Funeral services were held Tuesday morning for a Virginia police officer and local college graduate killed in the line of duty.

Ashley Guindon, 28, was shot Saturday night while responding to a domestic violence call a day after she was sworn into the department.

Guindon, an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University graduate, was killed and two other officers were hurt.

Police say the suspect in that shooting, Army Sgt. Ronald Hamilton, has allegedly admitted to the crime.

Hamilton remains in jail without bond.
