Suspect arrested in fatal Daytona Beach shooting

Rayshad Mincey faces first-degree murder charge

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The man Daytona Beach police say shot and killed another man after an argument turned himself in to authorities.

Daytona Beach police say Rayshad Mincey, 28, shot Jarrod Swinton, 25, in the chest Tuesday night on Garden Street, two blocks west of Bethune-Cookman University. 

Swinton was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center for surgery, but died a short time later, officials said.

Mincey turned himself in to police and was arrested on charges of first-degree murder.
