Robber leaves store after clerk locks herself in office

Kissimmee police search for man in attempted robbery

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police are working to get results and find the man who tried to rob a 7-Eleven gas station.

Officers said the man walked into the 7-Eleven on South John Young Parkway on Sunday night and demanded money from one of the workers.

Investigators say instead of handing over the cash, the clerk ran to the back of the store and locked the door.

Officers say the would-be robber then left the store empty-handed.

Police have released a surveillance picture of the man they are looking for in connection with the crime.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kissimmee police.
