DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Motorcycles will soon be cruising up and down Daytona Beach's Main Street.

The 75th annual Bike Week officially kicks off Friday.

The event, which runs through March 13, is expected to attract as many as 500,000 bikers from around the country.

Officials with the Florida Department of Transportation are warning of extra traffic along I-95 and I-4 as motorcycle enthusiasts head to the event.

Drivers are being urged to take precautions, including double-checking blind spots before changing lanes.

Motorcyclists are being told to leave plenty of space between their bikes and other vehicles on the roads.
