The Marion County Sheriff's Office said the presentation is hosted each year at a different school in Marion County before prom season in an effort to show the possible consequences of driving drunk, including a car crash, injuries, arrest and death.

The students showed the impact it would have on the victims' families as well, deputies said.

"We appreciate everyone for their involvement in getting this important message out to our students," the Marion County Sheriff's Office said. "If this demonstration saved one life, then it was worth the time."
