Troopers said Brandon Lawless, of Orlando, died in the crash, which happened around 1 a.m. on I-4 east near Fairbanks Avenue.

The FHP said Lawless was traveling in the inside lane of I-4 east and failed to notice that a tractor-trailer was stopped in traffic. Lawless' bike struck the back of the big rig, ejecting him onto I-4, the FHP said.

Lawless, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to troopers.

The driver of the big rig was not injured.

Lawless' motorcycle came to rest after striking a construction vehicle that was working in the area, the FHP said.  The construction worker was not hurt.
