BUNNELL, Fla. – An investigation is underway in Bunnell into an alleged chop shop operation, according to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives and crime-scene technicians executed a search warrant at a piece of rental property in the 300 block of Sawgrass Road, where it was suspected numerous vehicles were being transported and dismantled, deputies said.

The Sheriff's Office said it has recovered multiple stolen tractors, trailers and other items.

No arrests have been made, but charges will follow, deputies said.

The Florida Highway Patrol assisted the Sheriff's Office with identifying many commercial truck parts. Deputies said the investigation has included at least a dozen crime-scene technicians and detectives.

"It's really early in the investigation," Sheriff James L. Manfre said in a statement. "More information will be released as it becomes available."
