ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol said that a man on a bicyle was killed after a car evading a traffic stop hit him and then left the scene.
Charles McMurray, 52, of Orlando was killed after a 2011 Nissan Altima hit him while he waited to cross Colonial Drive at 10:40 p.m. Friday night.

The Nissan was traveling eastbound on Colonial Drive at a high rate of speed in a reckless manner, according the FHP accident report.
A trooper attempted to make a traffic stop but the Nissan didn't stop, troopers said.
Officers said that McMurry was in the turn lane when the Nissan hit him, ejecting him from his bicycle.
The Nissan continued on without stopping.
The Nissan was discovered abandoned 30 minutes later.
The crash remains under investigation.
