Police ID teen suspect charged in shooting death of 15-year-old girl

Destiny Bargman, 15, shot to death on Saturday ​

APOPKA, Fla. – Authorities on Monday have identified the 16-year-old who was charged in the shooting death of a 15-year-old Apopka girl.

Police said Quashun Massey was charged with second-degree murder in the death of Destiny Bargman, who was shot and killed on Saturday.

According to police, Massey was at a home on Sheeler Hills Drive with a number of other teens on Saturday, and someone had brought a firearm to the house.

Massey and others were reportedly shooting the weapon in the back yard of the residence. At some point, they moved inside of the home and were playing with the gun when Bargman was shot, police said.

The release of the suspect's identity comes one day after a vigil was held in front of Bargman's home.
