Cops: Palm Bay woman runs over boyfriend at topless bar

Woman confronts boyfriend at topless bar, runs over him, authorites say

BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 24-year-old woman who police say confronted her boyfriend outside a topless bar and then ran over him with a car on Saturday is facing multiple charges, News 6 partner Florida Today reported.

Palm Bay resident Erikka Christine Hope was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery, leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and possession of a controlled substance after police were called to the bar after reports of someone being run over with a car. They found Hope at the home she shares with the victim and was taken into custody. She was booked Sunday at the Brevard County Sheriff's Office.

Police said Hope drove up to Pin Ups Gentleman’s Club, at 2586 Palm Bay Road, to confront her live-in boyfriend for "being at the establishment."

"Hope spotted the man and an argument took place outside, with Hope either slapping or punching the man in the face in an incident captured mostly on surveillance cameras. Officers said the pair continued to struggle off camera and Hope got into a Toyota  and backed out of the parking space before suddenly halting," Florida Today reported.

Hope struck two other vehicles as she attempted to leave the parking lot, police said.

Hope was to be released on Tuesday. She will have a new court date on May 3.
