Police: 3 juveniles lead police through multiple cities before crashing stolen car

Car crashes into gate of Patrick Air Force Base


PATRICK AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Police say that three juveniles led officers on a chase through two different cities before crashing a stolen car into the gate at Patrick Air Force Base.

The Indian Harbour Beach Police Department said their officers took over a chase that began with the Melbourne Police Department Friday around 10:01 p.m. 

Officers said they pursued a stolen vehicle north on South Patrick Drive until the car crashed into the south gates of Patrick Air Force Base.

Three juveniles ran from the car and were apprehended within minutes hiding inside a dumpster on Patrick AFB, officers said.

There were no injuries and the suspects were charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest without violence and possession of marijuana under 20 grams. The suspects are also facing additional charges from the Melbourne Police Department and Patrick AFB.
