Orlando mayor delivers State of the City address

Mayor Buddy Dyer to share future plans for city

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer delivered his 2016 State of the City address to hundreds of residents, business owners and community leaders.

The annual address was held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Orlando City Hall.

As part of his speech, Dyer highlighted investments including police and fire officials, the city's venues, expanding parks and neighborhoods, building SunRail, helping businesses open and grow, and invigorating downtown. 

“Today, we are the City where everyone wants to live [and the] fastest growing major City in America,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer in a release.  “It’s an exciting time to live in Orlando and see our hard work paying off.”

During his address, Dyer highlighted initiatives that ensure Orlando is the "defining City of the 21st Century that drives the country forward."
