Girl found unresponsive in Palm Coast pool dies, deputies say

PALM COAST, Fla. – The 2-year-old girl who was pulled from a Palm Coast pool has died, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office said on Tuesday.

The drowning occurred Saturday night at 15 Fort Caroline Court in Palm Coast and the toddler was taken to the intensive care unit at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando.

The child was pronounced deceased at 11:50 p.m. Monday at Arnold Palmer Hospital.

"Our detectives have concluded their investigation and no criminal charges will be filed," deputies said in a release. "Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family."

A free water-safety day is being offered Saturday for parents and children from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the swim club at 73 Patricia Drive in Palm Coast.
