KOUROU, French Guiana. – A Russian rocket carrying a new satellite blasted off Tuesday morning from the coast of French Guiana.
The rocket carried a European satellite that will join up with its twin that launched two years ago and is currently orbiting earth.
The launch is part of a program aimed at creating a network of satellites to monitor and evaluate the environment.
