Victim dies in wreck with semi

ORLANDO, Fla. – A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday night in a crash with a semi-truck, Orlando police said.

The fatal wreck happened in the 2400 block of East Landstreet Road near Orlando International Airport.

Police said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. Because of the severity of the crash, however, authorities said they cannot confirm the race or age of the victim.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

East Landstreet Road was shut down Wednesday night from Atlantic Avenue to Boggy Creek but later reopened.

Police said UPS trucks were unable to enter or exit the UPS Center at 2425 E. Landstreet Road because of the location of the crash.
