Smart Asset ranks schools in Best Value Colleges Study


Are you trying to find the best deal for college? A new list ranked the schools in Florida that give you the most bang for your buck.

Smart Asset released its second annual Best Value Colleges Study on Tuesday, taking into account the scholarships provided, in-state tuition cost where applicable, student living costs and average starting salary.

The website ranked the University of Florida at the top of the list with tuition falling at $6,263, followed by Florida A&M University with tuition at $5,785 and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as third with tuition at $31,334.

For other local schools, Smart Asset ranked Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne as fourth with tuition of $36,020 and the University of Central Florida seventh with tuition of $6,317.
