CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – The planned June 4 launch of a heavy-lift Delta rocket from Cape Canaveral has been postponed, United Launch Alliance announced Friday morning.

The company said the mission was delayed at the request of the National Reconnaissance Office, whose classified payload will launch atop the Delta IV Heavy rocket.

No new target date was announced for the mission, wich is labeled NROL-37, News 6 partner Florida Today reported.

"The NROL-37 spacecraft and launch vehicle are secure on Space Launch Complex 37," ULA said in a statement.
