Fire officials say worker suffered third-degree burns on hands, face

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A construction worker was burned after falling into hot asphalt while working on a resurfacing project on Highway 27, Lake County fire officials said.

The incident occurred on Highway 27 near Four Corners just after 12:30 p.m.

The worker suffered third-degree burns to the hands and face, and was airlifted to an Orlando hospital, according to Lake County Fire Rescue.
