Female who shot boyfriend sought, Orange County deputies say

Shooting happened after argument between boyfriend, girlfriend

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A female who shot her boyfriend is being sought by deputies, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies responded around 8:50 a.m. Saturday to the area of South Rio Grande Avenue and Americana Boulevard about a shooting.

Deputies said no one was at the location when deputies arrived. Deputies later met with the injured victim who was driven to Orlando Regional Medical Center.

It was determined the victim and his girlfriend had been arguing. Deputies said the boyfriend called for a friend to come and pick him up.

As the pair were driving away, the girlfriend fired several shots at the vehicle, deputies said. The boyfriend's injuries are said to be non-life threatening, and the friend who was driving was not hit.

Deputies are looking for the girlfriend, who faces aggravated assault and attempted murder charges, the Sheriff's Office said.
