Man arrested in Palm Bay shooting death

Darius Deshon Poole charged with second-degree murder

PALM BAY, Fla. – An 18-year-old man was arrested Sunday in the Friday shooting death of a man in his 30s in Palm Bay.

Police found Hernan Hernandez Perez suffering from a gunshot wound at 1426 Nolan St. at 7:30 a.m.

Perez was taken to Holmes Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

Investigators arrested Darius Deshon Poole in Melbourne. He is charged with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by an adjudicated delinquent.

Poole is being held at the Brevard County Jail in Sharpes in lieu $150,000 bail.

Officials are still investigating the incident.
