As the City of Orlando continues to monitor the development of Tropical Storm Colin, it asks that residents continue to stay informed and prepared with the help of the city's suggestions.

The following updates are from City of Orlando's Monday afternoon press release.

Yard Debris and Pick up:

The City is asking residents not to place tree trimmings or other types of loose waste or debris at their curb in order to reduce flooding.

These items tend to clog storm drains and cause flooding during severe weather.

As of now, normal yard waste pick up will continue for Tuesday morning, but residents are still encouraged to hold their waste if at all possible.

Recreation and Community Center Closures:

Citizens should try to stay informed as the storm develops and can get updates from the City in many ways, including:

The Citizen Information Line: 407.246.HELP (4357). Recorded updates and information will be available.
