Crash on I-95 involving two cars, semi-truck

1 person taken to the hospital with minor injuries

VOULSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A vehicle accident Tuesday morning on Interstate 95 involved a semi-truck and two other cars at 7:15 a.m.,the Daytona Beach Fire Department said.

The accident happened at the Interstate 95 south underneath the LPGA overpass.

One person was taken to the hospital for minor injuries, officials said.

The damage from the crash resulted in the semi-truck's saddle tank, carrying 60 gallons of fuel, to leaked on grass into the median, officials reported.

Volusia County Fire Rescue's hazmat team is on scene to assess the cleanup.

Traffic is still moving on Interstate 95 southboud, but only one lane is open.
