ORLANDO, Fla. – According to the Food and Drug Administration, Pharmavite LLC has issued a recall for several Nature Made products due to the possible presence of salmonella or staph aureus toxin.
Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious or even fatal infections in children and frail or elderly people that have weak immune systems.

People infected with salmonella often experience fever, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea, which can be bloody.
In rare and more serious cases, the salmonella organism can enter the bloodstream and cause more severe illnesses such as arterial infections, endocarditis and arthritis.
The presence of staph aureus may lead to food poisoning and tends to happen rapidly.
Symptoms include nausea, vomiting, retching, abdominal cramping, and prostration. Headache, muscle cramping, and transient changes in blood pressure and pulse rate may occur in more serious cases.

Nature Made® Adult Gummies Multi with lot numbers 1196066 (90-count), 1196071 (150-count) and 1205052 (150-count).
Nature Made® Adult Gummies Multi + Omega-3 with lot numbers 1173600 (150-count).
Nature Made® Adult Gummies Multi for Her plus Omega-3s with lot numbers 1196048 (100-count), 1196050 (150-count).
Nature Made® Super B Complex w/C & Folic Acid Tablets with lot numbers 1173779 (140-count), 1170987 (460-count), 1204735 (460-count), 1173146 (360-count), 1204001 (360-count).
The following products, including their lot numbers, are being recalled for other reasons:
Nature Made Adult Gummies Hair, Skin, Nails with lot numbers 1198437 (90-count), 1198438 (150-count).
Nature Made Vitamin D 1000 IU tablets with lot numbers 1147550 (100-count), 1174782 (100-count), 1176755 (100-count), 1140172 (300-count), 1175637 (300-count), 1176756 (300-count), 1147978 (125-count), 1147557 (350-count).
The lot number can be found on the back panel next to the expiration date.
Do not consume products that fall within the lots listed above.
