SOUTH DEERING, Illinois – Residents in an Illinois neighborhood are flocking to see what many say is a heavenly image imprinted in a tree behind a church.
A member of St. Kevin Catholic Church said she first noticed the image a few years ago, but only told others about it earlier this week.
Some people say the image shows the outline of a woman with her head covered, wearing a long robe. Others say they can see the woman praying.
Thousands of people have been flocking to the church to see what many say is the image of the Virgin Mary.
