3 shootings in Orange County believed to be linked

2 men hospitalized with gunshot wounds; woman's car shot up

ORLANDO, Fla. – Two people were shot and a third was targeted in Orange County in three shootings that deputies believe are connected.

A 27-year-old man was shot late Thursday in the 4900 block of Cortez Road. He was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, deputies said.

While at the scene, deputies said they discovered a vehicle that had several bullet holes in it. A 24-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle said a white vehicle drove past her when someone opened fire and shot her vehicle several times.

About 15 minutes later, a 24-year-old man arrived at a hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, deputies said. The man said he was near North Pine Hills Road when he was shot, but he would not cooperate with authorities, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

The events leading up to the shooting are not known, but detectives believe the three shootings are related.

Neighbors told News 6 that they heard four shots fired.

No other details have been released.
