Head-on crash closes the Beachline in Brevard

One person taken to hospital

MERRITT ISLAND, Fla. – A wrong-way driver is being blamed for a crash Thursday that shut down the Beachline in Brevard County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to News 6 partner Florida Today, the driver ended up going east in the westbound lanes near the exit to Courtenay Parkway.

 

Troopers said the driver collided head-on with another car. One person was taken to the hospital.

 

Troopers have not said if the wrong-way driver will face charges.
