Orange County deputies search for sex offender

Qawi Muhammed failed to re-register with authorities, deputies say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies are searching for a missing sex offender. 

Investigators said Qawi Muhammed failed to re-register with authorities. 

Deputies said he has a long criminal history, including sexual battery, kidnapping and stalking. 

Muhammed was last seen in downtown Orlando. 

Anyone who has seen Muhammed is asked to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
