1 killed, 3 injured in Florida turnpike crash

SUV drove into median, overturned several times


OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Police said one person was killed and three were injured in a crash on the Florida turnpike at 9:13 a.m. Sunday.

A 2003 GMC SUV was traveling northbound on the turnpike when the car left the roadway and went into the grass median, officials said.

The driver overcorrected and the SUV overturned multiple times, police said.

The 32-year-old man driving the SUV was killed. A 24-year-old woman passenger was taken to Osceola Regional Hospital with series injuries. Two 13-year-old boys were taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital with minor injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
