BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A brush fire that's burning south of State Road 50 between Christmas and Interstate 95 could possibly reach SR 50 during the overnight hours, troopers said Monday.
The Florida Highway Patrol is urging drivers in the area to be prepared for the roadway to shut down at any time, and to be aware of a decrease in visibility.

Troopers said they will remain in the area through the night to monitor the road.
Brevard County Fire Rescue, Florida Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service officials were battling another brush fire near the St. Johns River.
It's unclear how many acres have already burned.
