Police search for man accused of selling fake Justin Bieber concert tickets

Cops: Woman responded to Craigslist ad to buy 4 tickets for $500

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando Police Department is looking for a man who they say sold fake Justin Bieber concert tickets.

According to police, the victim was searching on Craigslist for tickets to Bieber's June 30 show when she came across an ad that offered four tickets for $500.

She responded to the ad and made arrangements to meet with a “Dave” in front of the Marshalls in the Colonial Plaza, where he claimed he work, OPD said.

The victim told police that the man arrived in a yellow taxi before they exchanged cash for the fake tickets.

She also told police that she asked “Dave” if the tickets were legitimate before giving him money to which he replied, “Oh, yes, absolutely.”

Police say the subject is a Hispanic man, about 6 feet 5 inches, heavier set, chubby face and approximately 28-32 years old with short dark hair. 

He is wanted on fraud charges.
