Deputies say victim says man started threatening her after breakup

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Volusia County deputies arrested a man who they said was caught on surveillance cameras breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home with a backpack full of sex toys.

Jeffery Vanderhoff, 56, has been charged with unarmed burglary and stalking in the Wednesday incident.

Deputies said Vanderhoff has been calling and texting the victim threatening messages for the past several months after they broke up.

He told the victim he was on his way to her house, and the victim watched on her surveillance cameras remotely as Vanderhoff went into her house before calling authorities, according to the report.
