Gov. Scott announces 500 new jobs to Orange County

CVS Health investment pays off


ORLANDO, Fla – CVS Health held the ribbon cutting for a new facility bringing 500 new jobs to Orange County.

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs said the county invested $300,000 on an $1.5 million incentive package to expand the pharmacy innovation company.

"We've invested a lot over the last ten years trying to change our economy and cultivate more jobs that have strong potential for a local citizens and this, this to me is the payoff, of those years of investment," said Jacobs.

Gov. Rick Scott spoke at the ceremony, saying these 500 jobs will supplement the 1.18  million jobs that have been created since he was elected in 2010.

"These are individuals that have great jobs because CVS is adding jobs here we want them of course to continue add even more jobs," said Scott.

CVS Health also announced that the company would be donating $100,000 to the OneOrlando fund to support victims of the Pulse shooting.
