Rakeem Hill, 26, faces drug, gun charges

ORLANDO, Fla. – The son of Orlando City Council member Regina Hill was denied bond Thursday after being arrested on drug and gun charges the day before.

Rakeem Hill, 26, a convicted felon, is accused of possessing cocaine and marijuana, along with guns and ammunition. 

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Hill was a passenger in a car last month that took off from a traffic stop and crashed into other cars.

Troopers said the Chrysler 300 weaved in and out of traffic on State Road 408 and reached speeds of 115 mph.

Video from a dash mounted camera showed a man troopers identified as Hill running from the car after the crash.

Hill faces 93 charges, which includes a charge for every round of ammunition recovered by investigators.

Troopers are still searching for the driver of the car.

Regina Hill has not commented on the arrest.
