DANIA BEACH, Fla. – A father shot his two children, killing one of them, in an apparent murder-suicide in Dania Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said Timothy Hollis, 32, and his 1-year-old daughter, Kalila, were found dead on the sidewalk about 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Dania Beach Boulevard and Southwest Eighth Avenue.

His 7-year-old son, Timothy Hollis Jr., was found in the middle of the street with a gunshot wound. The boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Deputies said Timothy Hollis and the children's mother, Lashunda Bowers, 34, got into a fight inside their home before they drove to a relative's home.
Bowers ran inside to get help but then heard gunfire. When she went outside, she found her children and their father shot.
Timothy Jr. remains at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital.
