Balloon caught fire, crashed

A hot air balloon carrying 16 passengers in Texas has crashed, according to The Associated Press. Federal officials say the balloon crashed in Central Texas.

 

The AP reports a spokesperson with the Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the accident happened in Central Texas shortly after 7:40 a.m. The balloon caught on fire and crashed into a pasture.

 

According to CBS News, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement there don’t appear to be any survivors.
